Due to its great complexity, the project demanded especially high logistic abilities, both technologically and operationally, where dozens of old phone operators were dismantled, destructed and transferred for recycling in Israel. 

Project’s Main Goals
During the previous decade, old phone operators went out of use in Europe, and they were replaced by new advanced telephony technologies of much smaller sizes compared to the old large cabinets filled with wires and cables. Since these phone operators went out of use, and moreover, they occupied expensive real-estate properties at European cities – there was a need to dismantle them and send them for recycling.

Olshak’s Method for Project Execution
Since dismantling and recycling of phone operators was performed in different locations across Romania, and in order to operate as efficiently as possible, a full logistic alignment was established in an international cooperation with Olshak. After dismantled and collected to a container, the phone operators were transferred to the plant in Israel, where the final phase included grinding, separation and distillation of expensive rare metals for reprocessing.
